ADHD at Work publishes spec-based product comparisons for adults managing focus, time blindness, sensory sensitivity, and task overwhelm at work. This page explains exactly how those comparisons are made, so you can judge how much weight to give them before you buy.
Who writes this
This site is written and researched by a single Japan-based writer (see our About page), currently working with an AI research/drafting workflow (Codex and Claude Code) rather than a large editorial team. Every published article is reviewed and edited by a human before and after AI involvement — AI is used to speed up research and drafting, not to publish unchecked output.
What “comparison” means on this site
Unless a post explicitly says otherwise, our comparisons are not hands-on reviews. We have not personally tested every product listed. Instead, each comparison is built from:
- The manufacturer’s or retailer’s published specifications (dimensions, materials, battery life, certifications, etc.)
- The current Amazon listing at the time of writing, including the exact ASIN linked
- Independent, verifiable sources where a claim needs checking beyond the sales page (e.g. NIOSH guidance for hearing protection ratings, a manufacturer’s own newsroom announcement for a product’s release date)
We say “spec-based comparison” or 客観比較 rather than “review” for this reason. Where we have hands-on experience with a product, we say so explicitly in the text.
How we choose what to compare
Each comparison covers three products that take genuinely different approaches to the same problem — not three near-identical items with different brand names. We look for products that let a reader self-select based on their actual situation (e.g. “which phone do you use,” “do you want automation or a simple manual option”), and we say plainly who each option is not a good fit for, not just who it suits.
Fact-checking and corrections
Product listings, prices, and specifications change after we publish. We periodically re-audit published comparisons against current listings and correct anything that has drifted — discontinued ASINs, changed specs, or claims that turn out to be unverifiable (for example, a manufacturer-only performance number with no independent standard behind it). When we correct a factual error, we do not backdate or hide it; the post’s “Last updated” timestamp reflects the change.
If you spot an error, a discontinued product, or a claim you think is wrong, please tell us via the Contact page — we’d genuinely rather know.
How we make money from this
ADHD at Work is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. We earn a commission on qualifying purchases made through our Amazon links, at no extra cost to you. This does not influence which products we include or how we describe their strengths and weaknesses — see our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions for the full disclosure.
Not medical advice
This site describes general, commonly-reported experiences among people with ADHD and compares consumer products against that context. Nothing here is medical, psychiatric, or professional advice, and no product on this site is presented as a treatment. If ADHD symptoms are significantly affecting your life, please talk to a qualified healthcare provider.
